MIBT is located on the University's Burswood campus with access to modern, fully equipped teaching and library facilities and comfortable study areas. The campus is only 7 kilo meters from the central business district of Melbourne and is served by regular train and tram services. MIBT provides quality teaching and quality outcomes - diploma courses are equivalent to first year Bachelor Degrees, such that MIBT serves as your bridge to second year university education, and students are guaranteed entry to second year at Deakin on successful completion of a Diploma course. Flexible Study Options(3 semesters) and Fast Track Program:
There are 3 semesters within one calendar year which commence in March, June and October of each year. Thus, you have the option to enter your course when it is convenient for you. Although the standard duration is 3 semesters (12 months), you are able to fast track your study and complete a course in 2 semesters.

Mixed Programs for Certificate/Diploma (English & Academic Studies):
This is a special program of English with two academic units in the first semester that has been developed for those international students who are marginally unable to meet the English language requirements.

Small lecture and tutorial groups:
Lectures contain an average of 45 students and are complemented by small group tutorial and workshops. Academic staff are also available for one-to-one consultation such that students are assured of a superior level of academic contact and support.

Longer Teaching Sessions:
MIBT provides more teaching hours per unit in keeping with its supportive approach. This allows you to fully develop your knowledge and understanding of each unit.

Additional Study Support:
Complementary 'English Support' and study skill classes are available to offer students additional English language support, numeric skills, note-taking and research skills. Exam workshops are held during the semester to assist students with examination preparation.
