School History
"Ecole Les Roches," an international hospitality institution of higher learning,
was founded in 1954 by Marcel and Jean-Pierre Clivaz. The School, one pioneering school to teach in English in Switzerland, just celebrated her 50th anniversary in 2004.

Location
Bluche
Located five minutes away by car from the heart of Crans-Montana, one of Switzerland's most renowned ski and summer resorts, Bluche sits just below at 1,274 meters above sea level. With one small hotel, one restaurant, a hairdresser and a post office, the school is by far the biggest enterprise in the village.
At Les Roches, you can participate in a variety of sporting and social events. Les Roches sports director organizes a range of sporting activities and can advise students on the best mountain trails, ski hire, golf and much more. The school is also within a short traveling distance of France, Italy, Austria and Germany, providing an array of weekend destinations. The renowned Swiss railway network links into Geneva Airport, placing most of Europe within easy reach.

New England Association of Schools & Colleges
The New England Association of Schools & Colleges, Inc. (NEASC) is America's oldest regional
accrediting association whose goal is to establish and maintain the highest standards for all
levels of education from primary to doctoral levels. NEASC accredits 1,848 public and
independent schools, colleges and universities in the U.S. Les Roches was the first Swiss
hospitality college offering its own Bachelor of Business Administration (Hospitality)
Degree to receive accreditation from NEASC.
Swiss Hotel Association
The Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) was founded in 1882 and is the official organization
representing the Swiss Hotel Industry. The SHA groups more than 2700 Swiss Hotels from
exclusive establishments of international appeal, to smaller family-run taverns tucked
away in tiny villages. SHA has been closely involved in all aspects of the Swiss Hotel
Industry's development for more than a century and therefore maintains its unique position
in the hospitality industry.
Since its founding, the SHA has placed importance on the training of hotel personnel at all levels. Since 1893, the SHA has opened more than 20 training hotels throughout Switzerland.
Les Roches works closely with the SHA and other Swiss hotel schools to ensure that our students benefit fully from the organisation's century of experience in the industry.
Representatives from the SHA visit Les Roches campus regularly throughout the year to assess Les Roches standards and provide additional industry expertise.
