English Language Foundation Course
This course provides a starting point for study in
the UK and about half of the international students
in College follow it. It is suitable for 2 groups of
students:
- students who want to take an Access or Foundation
course in the UK, but whose English
is below IELTS 5;
- students who already have a place at undergraduate
or post-graduate level, but who need to
improve their English before starting at university.
International Access Course
It gives students a gradual introduction to a subject
which they may not have studied at school. It links
students home qualifications to UK entry requirements.
Students may start college courses
after the Access course. This course allows students
to continue to improve their English and take the subjects

Foundation Programme for University
This Foundation Programme is designed for
students who want to to to UK university but do not
meet the necessary requirements. The subjects
students choose will relate to what they want to study
at university. Students also have to take English for
Academic Purpose leading to IELTS.
Vocational Courses
The College offers a range of full time vocational
courses. Higher National Certificate
(HNC) and Diploma (HND) courses are popular for
overseas students. Taking a Higher National (HN) course
means that students study at university level. but still
receive the support and individual attention from the
College.
Students who meet the relevant qualifications can move
into 2nd year of a university
course after HNC (1 year of study) or 3rd
year after HND (2 years of study). As studying
