The University of East London is located in London. Students enrolled in the University of East London can benefit from all that Britain's capital city London has to offer.

Department stores in London include Harrods, Marks & Spencer and Selfridges. Museums in London include the British Museum, the National Gallery, the Science Museum and the Natural History Museum. Other attractions include the London Eye Ferris wheel, Madame Tussauds, St. Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Abbey.

The City of London

The University of East London has two campuses situated in London, namely its Stratford Campus and its Docklands Campus. The London Underground train stations near the campuses are the Stratford station (Stratford Campus) and the Cyprus DLR station (Docklands Campus).

Last but not least, London is home to the famous Big Ben Clock Tower, the iconic Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. Buckingham Palace is the residence of Her Majesty the Queen, while Kensington Palace was Diana, Princess of Wales' official residence in London. You can seize a free royal encounter with the regular Changing the Guard ceremony outside Buckingham Palace.

Treat yourself to some retail therapy at the famous Harrods, Marks & Spencer and Selfridges department stores in London or for shopping closer to the university's campuses, head to Lakeside Shopping Centre and Bluewater Shopping Centre. Lakeside Shopping Centre has over 250 stores and over 40 restaurants, fast-food outlets and cafes, including Burger King. Bluewater Shopping Centre has over 330 stores and over 40 restaurants, fast-food outlets and cafes, including McDonald's and KFC. Both shopping centres also have cinemas: Vue Cinema at Lakeside Shopping Centre and Showcase Cinema at Bluewater Shopping Centre.
