The University of Lincoln, founded in 1992, is based in Lincolnshire. The University is constantly progressing and is solidly grounded. Students are of top priority to the University, thus they ensure that they receive top quality education courses and are constantly upgrading their facilities to provide a better education environment for students. Currently, the school population consists of approximately 9600 students from more than 50 different nationalities.

The University has a reputable research department, the University's Forensic Science department has been one of only four Universities in the UK accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry, and the department's BSc (Hons) Forensic Science course is accredited by the Forensic Science Society. The Psychology degree is accredited by the British Psychological Society. The Lincoln school of Journalism is also accredited by the BJTC, making it a nationally recognized course among leading broadcasters, including the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and Sky News. The university received one of the highest scores in the NSS survey as well as recognition for its contribution to research in the Lincolnshire area.

The university main campuses are in Lincoln where they have the Brayford Campus which is located in the centre of Lincoln, Riseholme Park which offers animal, equine, agriculture courses and Cathedral Quarter which is the historic centre of Lincoln and home to Lincoln School of Art and Design.

The City of Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is a county in the east of England, it is an area where the pace of life is generally much slower than in much of the United Kingdom. The city has many coastal resorts and towns which leads to the Lincolnshire Wolds which are popular for cycling or walking. There are also many churches, castles, museums and nature parks in Lincolnshire. They also offer many shopping facilities in Grimsby and Lincoln.

Lincolnshire has been developing significantly over the years, attracting more and more visitors. They also hold many interesting annual events like the RAF Waddington Air Show, Lincolnshire Agricultural Show, Spalding Flower Parade and Scarecrow Festival.
