Entry Requirements

Edmonds Community College maintains an open-door policy, accepting applications from all who are high school graduates, possess a GED or are adults 18 or older. The college is committed to helping students reach their educational goals and getting off to a good start is essential to makes these goals a reality. The Enrollment Services office helps students take the steps they need for a positive start.

No TOEFL required
Edmonds Community College does not require a TOEFL exam in order to attend college. Instead students take the Edmonds English Placement assessment upon arrival and are then placed in appropriate classes. For students who want or need ESL, we provide a full range of classes, and you can take college classes while completing the higher levels ESL coursework.
